The Body Lift procedure is often performed following bariatric surgery where a person tends to lose a significant amount of weight in fast succession and is then left with excess, sagging skin in one or more areas of the body. The Body Lift is designed to improve the body contour by removing the excess skin and smoothing and tightening the remaining skin. The Body Lift is sometimes performed on its own and other times performed in combination with other body contouring procedures such as an arm lift, thigh lift, or liposuction (when there is excess, stubborn fat in the area).
