What would you like patients to know about your medical practice?
The most important difference between us and “corporate” medicine is that we are a small family owned and run business. Dr. Ashpole cares about the patients that come in the same as if they were a part of his own family. You don’t find this level of customer service or care anywhere these days, especially at larger hospital system. You will immediately sense the dedication that Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Bradley Ashpole has in helping patients feel confident in achieving their cosmetic goals – customer service, excellent results, safety – these traits are what makes us excel above the rest – you can trust Dr. Ashpole and his staff. With over 20 years of experience and expertise in breast augmentation, mommy makeover, facelift, blepharoplasty, and body contouring, Dr. Ashpole’s results and level of care are unmatched in excellence.
Every plastic surgeon has a specific procedure that they specialize in, what is yours?
Cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, including breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, cosmetic body contouring and body contouring after weight loss, including arm lifts and mommy makeovers, tummy tuck, body lift, face lift and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Dr. Ashpole performs all of the injectable offered including Botox®, Daxxify, and fillers (Juvederm, RHA). Our fully stacked Medspa also offers a range of treatments and procedures to help your inner beauty shine through great skin – we offer light treatments such as Hydrafacial and chemical peels to deeper treatments including lasers.
What happens during a cosmetic consultation?
During our initial meeting I am there to listen to and educate my patients. Each person has individual needs and it is important to make sure that every patient is well-informed and has realistic expectations. I spend a great deal of time with each patient so that everyone is comfortable and confident with their choices.
What is your medical training and background?
After completing extensive plastic and reconstructive surgical training in St. Louis, Chicago and New York City, I returned home to Chicago. I graduated as the Valedictorian of my high school class and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Illinois Wesleyan University. Then, I graduated with honors from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. During my medical training in Chicago, I completed my internship and residency training in General Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a prestigious Hand Surgery Fellowship. I completed my Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training in New York City at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, one of the oldest and most acclaimed programs in the country. Included in my training were cosmetic rotations at New York City’s prestigious Manhattan Eye and Ear Infirmary. I am very proud of my recent induction into the Leo M. Davidoff Society in recognition of my outstanding achievements in teaching. I continue to teach and educate my patients to ensure that all patients are fully informed and any questions or concerns are addressed prior to surgery.
Is Board Certification important when choosing your Plastic Surgeon?
Board certification is of utmost importance and a key criteria when choosing your plastic surgeon. There are many “cosmetic” doctors in the community, however, the American Board of Plastic Surgery maintains the highest standards for the education, examination, certification, and maintenance of certification of plastic surgeons in the United States. I am currently Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
